Moonstone Beach is a popular beach for surfers, families, nature lovers and photographers.  Bring a picnic or some beach toys and enjoy the day while watching the sealife, beachcombing or just relaxing the day away.
How to get there:
From Highway 101 North, take the Westhaven Drive exit and go back under the highway.  Take a left on Scenic Drive and Moonstone Beach Road will be on your right. 
From Highway 101 South, take the Trinidad exit and then make a left on Scenic Drive.  Take Scenic Drive south to Moonstone Beach Road.

There is limited parking at the beach.  The sign at the Moostone Grill says customer parking only.  They're typically pretty cool about people parking there but you are taking your chances; not best during business hours.  There are also restroom facilites at the beach.
Other things to do in the area:
Scenic Drive from Trinidad to Moonstone Beach is lined with some amazing beaches and places to stop.  A couple of our favorites are Luffunholtz Beach and Houda Point.  Just across Little River Creek on the southside of Moonstone Beach is Little River State Beach and just south of that, Clam Beach, which also acts as the northern trailhead for the Hammond Coastal Trail.
