Orick - Carruthers Cove Beach

Coastal Drive
Orick, California 95570
Northern Humboldt
Phone: 707 465-7354

Located right near the Humboldt / Del Norte border in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Carruthers Cove Beach is generally less populated than other beaches in the park and is absolutely gorgeous.  It does take some work to get back up the trail when you're done but if you've got the go, there is a nice reward for your efforts.
From the trailhead, it's less than a mile down to the beach.  Pack some food and plan on spending some time enjoying the crashing waves and beautiful views and you'll be glad you did.

*Please pack out your trash when you visit*
How to get there:
The trailhead to the beach is located on Coastal Drive from within the park.  The map shows the Carruthers Cove Trailhead to the beach.
