Garberville - Camping at Richardson Grove State Park

The 1,800-acre park boasts 170 campsites that are all close to restrooms and hot showers.  There are nature trails surrounding the campsites and all of them are close to the south fork of the Eel River which runs through the park and is a great place to cool off during those hot Southern Humboldt days.
Trailers and RV's are welcome with a maximum trailer length of 24 feet and a maximum camper length of 30 feet. 
Richardson Grove State Park is located in bear country.  State Park regulations require visitors to store food and scented items properly at all times.
  Dogs are ok on leash and must be in their owner's control at all times.

Richardon Grove State Park features, hiking, swimming, and just relaxing throughout much of the year. Fishing for salmon and steelhead is popular during the winter and wildlife can be seen throughout the year.
Take a walk on some of the park's almost ten miles of trails and explore some of the most beautiful coastal redwoods in Northern California.
The park also hosts events and programs as well as activities for kids, including the Junior Ranger program.
How to get there:
Richardson Grove State Park is 7 miles south of Garberville.  The entrance is on Highway 101.

If you like golf, check out the Benbow Golf Course, a small, easy course that offers great views of the valley.  Just north in Garberville, visit the Southern Humboldt Community Park for Disc Golf, hiking trails and more.
