This primitive campground puts you right in the heart of the amazing King Range National Conservation Area and offers picnic tables, fire rings and star gazing opportunities like few other places. 
Camping is $5/night on a self-pay basis and sites are limited.  There are 9 tent sites available and no hook-ups.  There are pit toilets but no water available.
How to get there:
From Redway, take Briceland/Shelter Cove Road 22 miles west.  Horse Mountain Road will be on your right.  Take it north approximately 7 miles and you'll see the campground.

There is Bear activity in this area.  DO NOT feed the bears.  Keep all food and scented items in bear containers.
Other things to do in the area:
King Range National Conservation Area offers unlimted recreational opportunities.  Shelter Cove and its amazing beaches like Black Sands and Mal Coombs are a great way to spend the day.
