The Wailaki Campground is located in the amazing King Range National Conservation Area. There are 13 tent/trailer sites that are on a first come, first served basis. The campground has picnic tables, fire rings, potable water and vault toilets. There are no hook-ups.
Camping at Wailaki Campground is $8/night on a self-pay basis.
How to get there:
From Redway, take Briceland/Shelter Cove Road for about 22 miles toward Shelter Cover. Turn left (south) on Chemise Mountain Road and the campground will be approximately 2 miles down the road. *The marker on the map above is of the Shelter Cove Road/Chemise Mountain Road intersection.

There is bear activity in this area. DO NOT feed the bears and keep all food and scented items in bear containers.
Other things to do in the area:
Make the trip to Shelter Cove and visit Mal Coombs Park or Black Sands Beach.
