This hike is absolutely phenominal.  The vibe is very peaceful and the sights, sounds and smells are positively overwhelming. There are very few places that you can see old-growth trees like this in such a peaceful setting.
The trail is an easy 5-miles, out and back, and you'll enjoy every step of the adventure. There is some elevation gain so you'll get some slight environment changes as you wind your way to Fern Falls, the end of the trail and turn-around point.
