This gorgeous hike takes you between Trillium Falls and up to Lady Bird Johnson Loop.  Because it's book-ended by two far more popular trails, you get all the views of the amazing trees without all the people.  This is one of our favorite hikes when we're looking to see some of the best trees Humboldt has to offer.  We're tellling you about it and hope you'll return the favor by leaving the trail better than you found it.   
From the Trillium Falls area, the trail heads uphill until you reach Lady Bird Johnson Grove.  It's a gorgeous trail but the non-stop ascent makes this one that beginners should avoid (over 1,000 feet of elevation gain).  If you're a regular hiker, you shouldn't have any trouble reaching the top and taking the LBJ Loop for an extra mile and a half if you choose.

You do need to cross Highway 101 so be careful.  The parking lot at the day-use area fills up quick in the summer but most people are there for Trillium Falls. 
Other fun things to do in the area: 
Fern Canyon and Gold Bluffs Beach, located in Prarie Creek Redwoods State Park are two really cool places to visit that showcase some of the diverse beauty of the park.
