Mt. Konocti County Park offers three trails that lead to three different peaks; each of which offers incredible views of the surrounding area (Howard Peak, Buckingham Peak and Wright Peak). The most popular trail, the Wright Peak Trail, is a 6.5 round-trip hike to the fire tower which offers views that allow you see the Sutter Buttes and beyond.
From start to finish, all three of these hikes offers incredible views and a peaceful environment.
Each of these hikes have quite an incline so take your time and enjoy the sites and sounds of this great park.

How to get there:
From Main Street in Kelseyville, turn on to Konocti Road.  Shorty after you pass the high school, it becomes a dirt road.  There will be a few houses along the way and the trailhead will be about 2 miles down the dirt road.  Take a look at the map for more specific directions.
More info:
Bring lots of water; it gets hot in the summer.  Don't forget your camera as the photo opportunities here are fantastic!
Other things to do in the area:
If you're looking to stay outside and play at the lake, head over to Clear Lake State Park for some fun in the sun.  The Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum is also nearby and is an interesting visit.  One of our favorite parks in the area, the Anderson Marsh State Historic Park, is also pretty close.
