Gualala Regional Park is officialy in Sonoma County but sits on the Mendocino/Sonoma County line and is absolutely worth a visit when you road trip down the Mendocino Coast.
The 200-acre park offers beach access, vistas, trails (bike, walking and hiking), canoeing and kayaking access, fishing, birding and more. 
The park is really beautiful and features the Gualala River on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other giving visitors a unique combination of recreational and relaxation opportunities. 
Bring a picnic, frisbee or other park toys and find some space near the Gualala River or anywhere else in the park to spend the day having fun.

How to get there:
The park is located on the west side of Highway 1; just south of Gualala.

Other things to do in the area:
Gualala has some really cool Art Galleries.  Just north of the park, visit Manchester State Park and/or Navarro Beach.  At the Highway 128 junction at Navarro Beach, you can also head inland a few miles and explore Navarro River Redwoods State Park
