The Fortuna Depot Museum is located in Rohner Park near the center of town.  The museum is housed in Fortuna’s historic train station which was built around 1889.  In 1974, the City of Fortuna purchased the old depot and moved it to a new home in Rohner Park.  The Depot Museum is a great place to take the family to see displays and investigate Fortuna's past as well as the history of the Eel River Valley.
Displays include artifacts related to the railroad and logging industries, Native American basketry, fishing and more.  There are a mix of permanent displays as well as a handful of seasonally changing exhibits
How to get there:
Traveling South on Highway 101; take the Main Street exit which will lead you into downtown Fortuna. Turn left on Park Street which is just a few blocks after you go through the light at 12th street.
Traveling North on Highway 101; Take the 12th street exit and go straight until you get to the light at 12th and Main Streets.  Turn right and a few blocks later, Park Street will be on your left.
