The Samoa Cookhouse Logging Museum has photographs, detailed history and relics from the old Humboldt County logging days. The museum also has a gift shop & info on the history of the cookhouse; a great place to eat while you're there.
How to get there:
From Arcata; take Highway 255 toward Samoa. Shortly after you pass Highway 255 from Eureka, take Cookhouse left and then Vance Avenue right. The cookhouse will be on your left.
From Eureka; take Highway 255 across the bridges toward Samoa. Take New Navy Base Road left and look for Cookhouse Drive on your left. Take Vance Avenue right and the cookhouse will be on your left.
