The Arcata Community Forest is a true gem of Humboldt County.  Located on the eastside of Arcata, the forest encompasses almost 800 acres of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails.  With elevations reaching just over 1,000 feet, the trails vary in difficulty so everyone can find the right one for them.
The forest also features an incredible disc-golf course that will 'wow' any player.
The forest is full of beautiful coastal redwoods and is absolutely stunning.  Whether you're looking for some exercise or are looking for a peaceful place to spend some time, the Arcata Community Forest is a great choice.
How to get there:
The forest is located on 14th Street in Arcata.  Check out the map for your best route to get there.
More info:
Parking can be tight along the road and there is a parking lot at the top of hill, next to Redwood Park.  Click HERE for a map of the park trails.
