Loleta - Table Bluff County Park

Table Bluff Road
Loleta, California 95551
Southern Humboldt

Very few places in Humboldt County offer sunsets like the ones you can find at Table Bluff County Park.  Located just above the Mike Thompson Wildlife Area, this day-use only park offers great views of the beautiful coastline, offers picnic tables and has a short walking trail.
The park is small and peaceful; best for those looking for some chill time on the bluffs enjoying the sound of the ocean below.
This park is also a popular launch point for hang gliding and watching them soar through the sky is pretty cool.
How to get there:
Traveling 101 in either direction, take the Hookton Road Exit and head west.  Hookton Road will turn into Table Bluff Drive and follow it for about 5 miles.  This road will lead you directly to the park.
For other ways to get there, check out the map above.
More info:
If you head into the Wildlife Area below (Table Bluff Beach), the gate does close one hour after sunset. There are no fees at this park.
Other things to do in the area:
The Eel River Wildlife Area is on the south side of the park.  Hookton Slough and the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Area are also close by.
Nearby Places to Eat:
Just up the road from Table Bluff and located at Bear River Casino Resort,
Express Cafe and Rivers Edge Restaurant both offer something that everyone in your party will enjoy.
