Three beautiful waterfalls in one park are what you get when you visit McCloud Falls just east of McCloud.  The park is known for its great trails, incredible fishing in the McCloud River and remote yet accessible camping; but it's the three waterfalls; Lower, Middle and Upper, that are the jewels of this park.
You can reach each waterfall by car but we highly recommend that you make the 4-mile round-trip hike to see them all; they're really pretty incredible.
Swimming and wildlife viewing are also popular activities in the park.
Camping info:
At an elevation of 3400 feet, its 39 sites welcome you with tables, fire-rings, vault toilets and piped drinking water.  $15/night with no reservation needed.
How to get there:
The Falls are a beautiful 90-minute drive from Redding and are located off of Highway 89; a few miles east of McCloud.  Look for the sign on 89 directing you where to turn.  Check out our map for more specific directions.

Other things to do in the area:

Burney Falls is another great park with an incredible waterfall and is just east of McCloud on Highway 89.  Castle Crags is south on I-5 in Castella and is quite an amazing state park.  If you're looking for a great hike, Black Butte is just north of Mt. Shasta and is a challenging but very rewarding hike.
