The Crocker Art Museum is one of the leading art museums in California.  The museum was established in 1885 and was the first public museum founded in the Western United States.
The museum offers a diverse variety of special exhibitions and programs to complement its collections of Californian Art, European Art, International Ceramics, Photography, Asisan Art and African and Oceanic Art.
How to get there:
The museum is located just a few blocks from Capitol Park; check out the map for your best route to get there.  Parking is tight in downtown Sacramento so bring change for the meters or look for a nearby parking garage.
More info:
Take a look at the Museum's Website for more information about special events, hours and prices.
Other fun things to do in the area:
Visit the California Auto Museum, the Captiol Museum or The California Museum while in town.  Folsom Lake is a fun place to spend a day in the sun as is attending a Sacramento River Cats game.
