Blue Lake has 62 historical buildings, most of which are within walking distance from one another.  Wander around the town to see these buildings and get an idea of what early life in Blue Lake was about. 
You can get a map that has all of the addresses at the Blue Lake Museum for only $3.

How to get there:
Traveling on Highway 299 East, take the Blue Lake Blvd exit.  At the round-a-bout, take a right to Chartin Road. Take a left on South Railroad Avenue and the Museum will be on your left. 
Traveling on Highway 299 West, take the Glendale Drive exit and turn left.  Make a left on Blue Lake Blvd and then a right to Chartin Road.  Take a left on South Railroad Avenue and the Museum will be on your left.

Other things to do in the area:
The Mad River Fish Hatchery is just down the road and is a fun place to visit.  Stop by the Mad River Brewery which will be on the way to the fish hatchery and enjoy a local beer and some delicious food.
