Host of the annual Apple Harvest Festival in Fortuna and makers of some of the best cider around, Clendenen's Cider Works has been a family favorite in Humboldt County for generations.  The only way you can get it is to visit them on 12th street; they don't deliver.  Talk about high standards for freshness!
How to get there:
From Highway 101 in either direction, take the 12th Street Exit into Fortuna.  Traveling North, Clendenen's will be on your left.  Traveling South, take a right after coming off of 101 and go back across the highway.  Clendenen's Cider Works will be on your left.

The Cider Works is generally open from August - January. Call ahead for hours.
Other things to do in the area:
Take your fresh apple cider to Rohner Park or Newburg Park and enjoy some walking trails, sunshine or just relax. Along Main Street, you'll find The Main Street Art Gallery or head south about 20 minutes and visit the incredible Avenue of the Giants.
