The World's Tallest Totem Pole made from a single redwood tree is located right here in Humboldt County!  Originally carved in 1962 and re-carved in 1984, the totem pole stands 174 feet strong on the side of Safeway in McKinleyville.
How to get there:
Traveling on Highway 101 South, take the Murray Road exit and then make a left.  Once you get to Central Avenue, turn right and look for the Safeway which will be on your right.
Traveling on Highway 101 North, take the School Road exit and make a right.  Once you get to Central Avenue, turn left and look for the Safeway which will be on your left.
