This 10-acre park is packed with a variety of things to do. There are walking trails, a children's garden, a playground, picnic sites and plenty of space to spread out and relax under the trees.
The park is also home to the Dunsmuir Botancial Gardens.
You'll find all of this and more right along the Sacramento River where fishing is encouraged.
How to get there:
Dunsmuir City Park is on Dunsmuir Avenue; just north of Siskiyou Avenue. Check out the map for more specific directions.
The annual "Tribute to the Trees" concert as well as many other community events are held in this park. Visit the park's website for event updates.
Other things to do in the area:
Just south of Dunsmuir is the incredible Castle Crags State Park. In Dunsmuir, be sure to stop by the Dunsmuir Museum & Railroad Display Room or take the short walk to visit Hedge Creek Falls.
