The Disc Golf Course at the Black Butte Lake Recreation Area takes strength, finnesse and patience.  Each of the 18 baskets are surrounded by beautiful oak tress that come into play regardless of how the drive is set-up.  There are baskets located within the trees, in open meadows, along the water and on hills, both leading uphill and down.   
It's a great course right near the water so bring your fishing poles, swim clothes and some food for a day at the lake. 
How to get there: 
From I-5 in Orland, take Newville Road to the west.  A short distance later take County Road 206 left.  You will hit a 'Y' in the road, take it to the right which will keep you on CR 206.   The first basket is on the left side of the road, directly across from the entrance to the recreation area.

Other fun things to do in the area: 
In Corning, check out Corning Community Park which is home to a cool skate park and also has plenty of room to kick a ball, toss a frisbee or just relax.  While in Corning, be sure to taste some of the best olive oil in the world.  Stony Gorge Reservoir is just to the southwest if you're looking for another place to enjoy the water.
