The Corning Museum Association was founded in 1990 by a group of individuals who wanted to preserve Corning's history and present it to the public. 
The museum features antique furniture, photographs and a wide variety of art, literature, historical displays and an antique model train set as well as many other items that give visitors insight into the history of this quaint and important city.
This fantastic museum shares space with the Corning Chamber and is open Monday-Friday; 9am-5pm but closed at Noon for lunch. 

How to get there:
From I-5, take the Salono Street Exit East and the museum will be on your left before you reach 3rd Street.

Other things to do in the area:
Spend some time in the beautiful Corning sunshine at the Corning Community Park and/or Woodson Bridge State Park.  The city also offers top quality Olive Oil Tasting.  Just north in Red Bluff, visit the Red Bluff Recreation Area which has a variety of fun options and just to the southwest, you'll find the Black Butte Recreation Area (which has a Disc Golf Course) and Farm Sanctuary which is a really cool, unique, animal sanctuary.
