Camp and play along the ocean at Westport-Union Landing State Park on the beautiful Mendocino Coast.
The beach is gorgeous with plenty of space to throw out a blanket and relax to the sites and sounds of the Pacific Ocean crashing against the Mendocino coastline.
There are also wide open bluffs above the beach that have picnic tables and fire pits so bring out some food and enjoy a barbeque while you play in the sun.

Fishing is also a popular activity here; both on the beach and in Howard Creek which runs through the park.
How to get there:
Westport-Union Landing State Park is right along Highway 1; approximately 2 miles north of Westport.
Camping info:
There are 86 campsites available spread amongst three campgrounds that sit on a bluff overlooking the ocean.  Camping is on a first come, first served basis.
More info:
Vist the Park's Website for more information.

Other things to do in the area:
To the south in Fort Bragg, don't miss the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens and MacKerricher State Park.  The area also has some cool Art Galleries & Museums
