Through the efforts of the Save the Redwoods League and other individuals and organizations, what started as a 9-acre dontation by Robert Orr in 1945, has since grown to 2,743-acres.
Being one of the more remote of the state's parks, walk along the trail and enjoy the sights of Sierra and Coastal Redwoods, a variety of ferns and a large number of wildlife species in the peace and serenity you can find few other places. 
How to get there:
The Reserve is located 13 miles west of Ukiah on Orr Springs Road.
