23 Humboldt Based Instagram Feeds Every Foodie Should Be Following

IG-Cover

Humboldt County has a pretty incredible food scene and when it comes to presentation, photography, content and vibe, there are some locals that do an inspiring job of showing it off through the use of Instagram.

The following list are some of our favorite feeds and we wanted to share them with you.  All photos were used with permission and the order was selected randomly.  They are all incredible feeds and we hope you enjoy, follow and engage your favorites.  Thank you for checking it out and sharing it with your foodie friends.

We want to hear from you -->  The Humboldt County food scene is pretty incredible and there are quite a few IG feeds dedicated to it.  Try as we may, we're sure we have missed a few that should have been included.  If we've missed one of your favorites, let us know in the comments or drop us a line and we may include it in a follow-up feature, giving you credit for the recommendation.

The Humboldt Hot Sauce feed is less a brand feed and more the adventures of Cal & Heidi as they promote Humboldt Hotsauce across the west at festivals, concerts, fairs and other events while also taking over retail space in a growing number of locations.  This is one of our favorite feeds and we're excited to see what they do next.

The Cocina Mariposa feed, when not making us hungry, often makes us laugh. In addition to photos and videos of their delicious food, weekly agua fresca and peaceful setting, they often post really funny memes about tacos and other food. Food and fun is what this feed is all about.

Whether they are posting a shot of their pulled pork sandwiches, scallop & prawn brochette or their incredible apple cider donuts, the attractive presentation and beautiful shots of every entrée make the Five Eleven feed one worth following.  It almost looks too good to eat.  Almost.

Chef Louise does a wonderful job showcasing her talents through clean photos and regular posts.  One day she'll post a picture of a meal like grilled New York strip and another day, it's comfort food like chicken & waffles that will make you weak in the knees. She also has some exciting upcoming projects with another local food-talent, Wendy Chan, and we're definitely looking forward to that in our feed.

Eat Humboldt is run by NorCalPulse and showcases some of the best food & drink content Humboldt County has to offer.  We have some exciting projects coming up in the near future and hope you'll join us for the ride.

Because Delish on 5th is a deli, followers are treated to delicious posts like those of their honey and salmon sandwich, their crispy prosciutto caprese salad and the variety of amazing charcuterie boards they create. Because Delish on 5th is also a kitchen store, there's an element of inspiration that comes from seeing posts that put the reality of creating your own delicious meals within reach.

Out along the Lost Coast, you'll find California's most remote brewery serving delicious food and some of the best beer in Northern California. On Instagram, you'll find a feed that is full of the kind of small town community goodness that makes living in Humboldt County so amazing.  Their videos are also pretty cool and we've discovered some fun artists through the music they put behind them.

Get It To Go --> Humboldt County over 50 Parks which means plenty of places for a picnic. When you're ready to grab some delicious food from a local restaurant and head outside, find info, pictures and directions of local paks in our Humboldt County Parks Section.

One of three Ferndale establishments making the list, the Tuya's feed is full of delicious food and positive energy put out through good photography and fun videos.  Our favorite posts are of their burritos.  No, the fish tacos.  Wait, actually, the fajitas.  Definitely the nachos.  Follow their feed and you'll see.

Avenue Cafe in Miranda is the kind of charming place where you can find a delicious meal while exploring Avenue of the Giants.  Their Instagram feed is the kind of motivation that inspires such an adventure.

Avenue of the Giants -->  Take a look at our Avenue of the Giants section for fun things to do when visiting this world-famous part of Southern Humboldt County.

As a talented food writer, admin of the wildly popular Humboldt Foodies Facebook Group, mushroom forager, cook and cider maker, Jessica runs an inspiring feed that illustrates all the ways Humboldt County is a food-related gold mine.

The Frankie's feed would be amazing with just photos of their bagels but fortunately for food lovers, it's so much more.  It is an absolute joy to see pics of their deep fried oreos, cream filled donuts, cookies and other tempting treats slide through our feed.

Island style food in your Instagram feed.  Through quality photos of their delicious food, Taste of Bim does a wonderful job of getting followers to feel the vibe they're putting out.  They often include island inspired flowers, trees and other background props in their photos that take you away to a warmer place with flavorful, delicious food.

Pizza, glorious pizza!  Dutchy's has found the perfect angle for capturing appealing shots of their delicious pizzas and we couldn't appreciate it more.  From the colorful tomato pie with ham & bacon to a fully loaded pepperoni, every post makes us crave a slice.

The perfect food presentation and outstanding photography earn Phatsy Kline's its place on our list but what we like most is the variety of their posts.  While food is the focus (and, oh, wow!), they also share photos of their tempting drinks, friendly staff, happy guests and the beautiful building it calls home.

Related:  Tavern 1888 is part of the Phatsy Kline's family and is also a feed worth visiting.

With posts of happy guests, friendly staff, local musicians, events and of their beautiful interior, The Boardroom Ferndale is a choice feed to follow. However, it's the perfect shots of foods like their baked penne pasta, frittatas, mac and cheese (best in Humboldt?) and pulled pork that will turn an Instagram follow into the motivation to take a trip to beautiful downtown Ferndale and treat yourself.

While tempting posts of their ooey gooey brownies, delicious sandwiches, cinnamon rolls and fresh drinks make this a good one, they've also recently started posting nicely edited videos that we hope they keep doing. The Grind also has a super friendly staff and we're thrilled that they are often included in the cafe's posts.

Each post, whether for a unique pizza combination, daily special, tempting dessert or appetizing drink from the bar, elicits a, "that would be really good right now" feeling. Clean photos and delicious looking food make this feed one of our favorites. The Pub also does a good job with their videos and whoever picked the Jump Around remix for the Oktoberfest video deserves a raise.

Food with Hoy, the Instagram feed of Humboldt food enthusiast, Alex Hoy, features his adventures in cooking, local dining and hosting pop-ups at places like Eureka's Friday Night Markets.  He gets creative with his videos and we're looking forward to more.  It's a fun feed that we really enjoy and think you'll like it too.

SALT Fish House has a very talented team and their skills are captured beautifully by wonderful photography and solid videos. Their bold, colorful drinks, perfectly plated entrees, lovely décor and charming staff may literally give you the impulse to stop what you're doing and visit.

As a venue owner, chef and caterer, followers of Chef Boyce's feed get a unique look into the world of Humboldt County food. Featuring incredible culinary creations, snaps from behind the scenes and pop-up event information, there is something delicious and exciting to enjoy with every post.

Campground blurs the line between food and art and it's all on display via their Instagram feed. Their well-plated entrees complemented by the artistic style of the restaurant's photography make each post an opportunity to remind yourself that you deserve such delicious things in your life.

Fun videos and photos of tempting items like chocolate dipped apples, cookies, cupcakes, macaroons, cinnamon rolls, breads and cakes bring the sweet joy of baked goods to anyone who follows Patches' Pastries.

The Six Rivers Brewery feed is all about community and we are here for it.  In addition to showcasing their delicious food and tasty beer, they highlight local makers, their awesome staff (the Halloween post is so cute!), fundraisers that involve drinking beer and the heart-warming visits by their four legged guests (our favorite!).

We hope you enjoyed the list.  Thanks for reading.  Enjoy a meal with friends tonight.  Cheers!
