Port Orford - Floras Lake State Natural Area

Floras Lake Road

Floras Lake State Natural Area is a unique area along the Oregon Coast and one of our favorite stops when we road trip up the Oregon Coast.  Located between Port Orford and Bandon, this park is one of the least populated and most natural parks on our list.
The lake itself is separated from the ocean by a thin strip of dunes and vast meadows which gives visitors a unique variety of environments in which to play.
The beautiful beach runs for miles, often along sand cliffs, to the south almost as far as Cape Blanco State Park and north all the way up to Bandon.
If you're looking for a peaceful place to spend some time on the Oregon Coast, don't miss a visit to this park.

How to get there:
There are a few ways to get there depending on your starting point.  Check out the map for your best route.
More info:
There is camping available nearby at Cape Blanco State Park (just south) or Boice-Cope Park (just north).
Other things to do in the area:
Cape Blanco State Park is just to the south of Floras Lake and features the Cape Blanco Lighthouse and the Hughes House.  Just north in Bandon, check out Seven Devils State Recreation Area, Bullards Beach State Park and Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge.
