When you visit Cape Blanco State Park, take a few minutes and tour the Historic Hughes House; a restored Victorian home that gives visitors the opportunity to see what life was like for a farming family over 135 years ago. 
The Hughes House tour is conducted by knowledgable volunteers and is free but donations are gratefully accepted and help fund restoration and maintenance of the house. 
How to get there:
Take Cape Blanco Road off of Highway 101 and it will lead you directly into Cape Blanco State Park which hosts the museum.

Tours are available; April - October 31, Wednesday-Monday, 10am-3:30pm.  Closed Tuesdays.
Other things to do in the area:
While in Cape Blanco State Park, be sure to visit the Cape Blanco Lighthouse.  Floras Lake State Natural Area is just to the north and a visit to some of Port Orford's Art Galleries will leave you feeling impressed.
