This day-use-only park offers walking trails, picnic tables, grills, restrooms and access to swimming holes.  The beautiful park is also a popular place for special events like birthday parties, weddings and reunions.
How to get there:
The park is located a little over a mile south of the Mattole Road/Honeydew exit on Avenue of the Giants.  It's a little over a mile and a half north of Weott.

This is a day-use park only with no fee.  You can reserve the Grove by calling 707-946-2263.
Other things to do in the area:
Founder's Grove has some cool trails and points of interest.  If you're looking to go for a swim on a hot Southern Humboldt day, stop by Leatherwood Bar.  If you're feeling a little adventurous and are looking for a hike, head over to the Punta Gorda Recreation Area and take the hike to the Punta Gorda Lighthouse.
