Located on Highway 36 in the beautiful redwoods, Swimmer's Delight is a locals' favorite for camping, swimming, picknicking and just relaxing.
The campground, within Van Duzen County Park, has 30 tent sites that are available on a first come, first served basis.  Many of the campsites are situated under the trees and others sit near the Van Duzen River.
There are shower facilities and bathrooms but no water.  Dogs are ok but they must be on a leash.
You can also visit Swimmer's Delight as a day-use area.
How to get there:
From Highway 101, take Highway 36 east.  The park is located 11 miles east of Hydesville on Highway 36.

Pamplin Grove, which is also located within Van Duzen County Park and also has a great swimming hole, is a group campground that can be rented for special events and can be used as a day-use area when the grove is not reserved.
Other fun things to do in the area:
A trip through Avenue of the Giants is always a good time.  Humboldt County is lined with incredible Beaches, many of which are within a short drive of the campground.
