Point Arena - Moat Creek Beach

Highway 101
Point Arena, California 95468
Mendocino County

While this beach, just south of Point Arena, is a popular spot for tidepooling, walking the bluffs, whale watching, kayaking and bird watching, it's most well known as one of the most prime surfing spots along the Mendocino Coast.
Above the beach, there are bluffs that offer incredible views of the coastline and trails that guide you along.  Sunsets from the bluffs are pretty incredible.

How to get there:
The parking lot is right off the highway; two miles south of Point Arena.
More info:
There is a primitive bathroom but not much else.  The trailhead up to the top of the bluffs start from the parking lot.
Other things to do in the area:
The Point Arena Lighthouse is also a favorite of people visiting the area and is located just north of Moat Creek Beach.  To the south, Gualala Point Regional Park is pretty incredible and sits on the Mendocino/Sonoma County line.
