Weott - Dyerville Bar and Overlook

Avenue of the Giants
Weott , California 95571
Southern Humboldt

Dyerville Bar allows access to the Eel River for great swimming while the overlook has picnic tables, plenty of parking and open grass areas.   With some beautiful views of the river and the surrounding mountains, it's a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.
How to get there:
Traveling in either direction on Highway 101, take the Honeydew exit.  The park is located on the the east side of the highway.
More info:
The access road to the river is just a few feet north of the overlook.  It's a narrow entryway and can be easy to miss on your first pass by.
Other fun things to do in the area:
Across the river, south, is Founder's Grove, a pretty cool place to stop.  Don't miss the Big Trees Area which is nearby and has some of the tallest coastal redwoods in the world.  Take a look at our Avenue of the Giants section for more cool things to do in the area.
