Considered by many to be the best park in Brookings, it's loaded with things to do.  The park features; athletic fields, a gazebo, horseshoe pits, kidtown playground, open grass areas, picnic tables, restrooms and more.  
In the Spring, the flowers and plant life around the park are absolutely stunning and exhibit a wide range of beautiful colors.
The park also has some historical significance as Lewis and Clark spent a winter here.

How to get there:
From 101 in Brookings, take Pacific Avenue east and then make a right on Azalea Park Road.  The park will be in front of you.

There are summer and winter music festivals held in the park and it also has a disc golf course. Visit the Park's Website for more information.
Other things to do in the area:
Alfred A Loeb State Park is a nice park that is known for great fishing.  Along the coast, check out Harris Beach State Park and Pistol River State Park.  Oregon's largest Monterey Cypress can be found next door to the Chetco Museum; just south of Brookings.
