This park, located just north of Brookings, has it all; camping, hiking, wildlife viewing, fishing and much more.  Use the picnic tables for a picnic in the sun and make a day of it.  This park is very popular and a great place for families.
One interesting note; the biggest island off the Oregon Coast can be seen from the park.  

How to get there:
Harris Beach State Park is located along Highway 101, just north of Brookings.
Camping info:
RV, tent, hiker/biker spots and yurts are available.  There are flush toilets, hot showers and other amenities at the campground.

Other things to do in the area:
Azalea Park, Alfred A Loeb Park and the Chetco Museum, which is also home to Oregon's largest Monterey Cypress, are fun stops while you're in town.  Don't miss Crissey Field State Recreation Area as you cross into Oregon from California.
