Located a little over 10 miles south of Coos Bay, this park features incredible views of the ocean from the bluffs above, plenty of places to throw out a blanket for a picnic and access to the beach where you can play along the water.  
This former home of lumber baron Louis Simpson also provides guests with a Japanese Garden that includes a lily pond, a variety of groves, picnic areas and is flush with flowers, trees and other plant life.

Sunset Bay State Park is close by; just to the north.  Bastendorff Beach Park, John Topits Park, the Coos Art Museum and the Coos Historical & Maritime Museum are also fun places to visit while you're in the area.
