Phone: 707-995-3565

The Museum opened in 1993 and has quickly become one of the best and most important museums in the area.  The museum hosts a collection of Native American artifacts and a rock and mineral display as well as a restored schoolroom modeled after the orginal one of 1877, and a Victorian Parlor.  There are also quite a few interesting artifacts from the local pioneers and their early activities in the area.
The museum hosts a number of events throughout the year; visit its website for updates about upcoming events.

How to get there:
At the Highway 29/53 intersection in Lower Lake, turn east on Morgan Valley Road and the museum will be on your right shortly after you pass through town.
More info:
The museum has limited hours and is closed most major holidays.  Visit its Website for more information.
Other things to do in the area:
The Anderson Marsh State Historic Park offers walking trails and a self-guided tour through historic buildings.  Middletown, just to the south, has some great Wineries worth a visit.  If you're heading east, visit Clear Lake State Park or Mt Konocti County Park, both of which have a lot to offer.
